Yes. The bottom scan zone is left unmodified, and that band is what scanners actually read. The exported SVG is print-ready and fully scalable, so it holds up at any size. Ink spread, curved packaging and cheap scanners still matter, so print a physical sample and test it before any production run.

For a barcode that scans at retail checkouts, yes — the number has to be registered with GS1, and BARKOD does not issue numbers. For internal tracking, events, art prints, merch or packaging mockups, any valid number works.

EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and Code 128, all exported as scalable SVG. EAN-13 is the 13-digit standard used on retail products worldwide. EAN-8 is its 8-digit short version for small packaging. UPC-A is the 12-digit North American equivalent. Code 128 encodes letters and symbols as well as digits, which suits internal tracking and serial numbers.
